What a great time for fun and fellowship!

For the third straight year, Westview participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event held at the Watsonville High School on July 19 - July 20, 2014.

In addition to the actual event, team Westvew Warriors also sold luminaria bags, chicken teriyaki box lunches at the event

and held a rummage sale on July 12th (that raised $500) for the American Cancer Society.

Westview’s initial goal was to raise $1000 but because of everyone’s hard work and dedication Westview was able to raise more than $3,000.

A grand total of more than $69,000 was raised at the Watsonville Relay for Life event and 32 teams participated.

A big thank-you goes out to our Team Captain Evelyn Veal for organizing this year’s event.

Westview would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped out with the rummage sale, box lunches, manning our booth at the event

and those who participated in walking the Watsonville High School track for a continuous 24 hours.

And finally, thank-you to those who made donations to the American Cancer Society to make the event a very successful one!!
